DEKNO MODELS
From our good friend Albert Serra of DEKNO MODELS comes yet another amazing kit in his line of GOLDEN AGE DEKNO MODELS with the 1/72 Conslidated Model 17 Fleetster. DEKNO MODELS consist of famous racers, sport and civilian aircraft from the 1920s - 1940s in the resin format including clear resin for the cockpit canopies and passenger windows.
The Conslidated Model 17 Fleetster is the third in the Golden Age series and a very interesting project. To help raise funding Albert went to verkami.com and achieved €850 exceeding his goal of €600! This was done through various levels of pledges ranging from €30, €200 and €250 with rewards in various versions of the kits with the basic pledge including a kit, the next level a finished kit on wheels and the final level with a finished kit on floats.
The kit Albert kindly sent to IRMA arrived in a sturdy, corregated cardboard box with a detailed label illustrating the aircraft and containing contact information for DEKNO MODELS.

The kit contains 45 well moulded and well defined resin parts of which 11 are in clear resin. The detail is of the highest quality and the parts fit well together. Of course some must be separated from the larger, protective resin portions holding them, as is typical when dealing with kits in the resin format.

In addition there is a set of very sharp decals in a protective plastic to make two different versions depending on if you purchase the wheels or floats format. The decals are the traditional water-slide variety and offer very definitive colors.

To put your kit together a sheet of two-sided instructions is included in Catalan and English. These contain 5 steps toward assembly with good stopping points. Interior colors are suggested and external colors and decal placement are included on the opposite side.

Overall IRMA found the kit to be of the highest quality, well documented, very nice decals and with the potential to create a unique and wonderful aircraft for your collection!
Yet another fantastic kit from DEKNO MODELS! This is the Marcoux-Bromberg Special (1939) build by the Rider-Clark Airplane Corp. Los Angeles. This kit too arrived in a sturdy cardboard box with very nice artwork.

Inside are 30 detailed parts including 29 resin and a vacuform canopy. Well molded, some are still attached to the blocks, but the resin builder is familiar with this aspect. Very minimal sanding and filing will be needed.

Next is a very colorful decal sheet to complete your bird.

Instructions are well documented and include much information as we come to appreciate from Albert. Assembley is in five steps and colors are specified as well as decal placement.

IRMA found this kit also to be of top quality. We highly recommend this one and the series.
